To help curb the problem of abandoned pets, the Animal Foundation's Home for the Holidays adoption campaign aims to adopt out at least 1,250 animals from the foundation's Lied Animal Shelter by the end of the year.
Those who are not able to give a pet a new home can contribute with a monetary donation. To make a financial contribution, make a check out to the Animal Foundation and write "adoption," "general fund" or "spay/neuter" in the memo line.
The Animal Foundation operates the Lied Animal Shelter for the cities of Las Vegas and North Las Vegas, and Clark County, and is a nonprofit organization that found homes for nearly 10,000 animals last year. The Lied Animal Shelter is located at 655 N. Mojave Road, and two off-site adoption centers are located at 7035 W. Ann Road and 9875 S. Eastern Ave.
