Image is everything. Just look at the styles offered at Le Boutique Talulah G, a boutique at 750 S. Rampart Blvd., in Boca Park Shopping Center.
It opened with designers Jiwon Park, Jen Bel and Patricia Adams. Now it's offering labels from Chloe, Matthew Williamson, Missoni, Stella McCartney and its newest addition, Zac Posen.
The store's policy is to search out new designers so the clothes it offers are continually refreshing.
"I've been shopping here ever since it opened," said Tennille Plise, an at-home mother who lives near Blue Diamond Road but often makes the trek to Summerlin just to shop at Talulah's. "They always have something new and they know exactly what I like."
The 1,857-square-foot shop is located at the northern end of the shopping center, poised between Kona Grille and the Cheesecake Factory.
Most of its sales are in jeans, said Francois Jaafar, general manager, followed by tops. Jeans run $150 to $375. Tops -- the current hot designer line is Citizen of Humanity -- begin at $180.
Talulah G also offers club wear and can special-order items for customers.
The unassuming dècor includes a huge round display case surrounded by carefully displayed clothing. In one area, a few bath and skin care lines like Sud Pacifique and Index line the wall. The overabundance of track lighting is softened by a couple of chandeliers. The dressing room area is separated by what appears to be miles of swagged drapery. Subtle stripes on the floor are echoed in other areas and on its business cards. Dance club music plays on the sound system.
Talulah G is the brainchild of Meital Grantz, who came to Las Vegas by way of New York City in 2002 with big dreams and a passion for shopping. She also has a store in the Fashion Show mall and another in Southern California.
The name she chose for her stores may sound like a silver screen legend, but it was Grantz's nickname in college.
Asked what three words best describe the clothes Talulah offers, Jaafar said, "Fun, hip and elegant."
