Support Groups

Support group announcements must include all of the following details: times, dates, addresses and telephone numbers to call for information and must be submitted a minimum of two weeks prior to the event. MONDAY

DIVORCE CARE FOR KIDS meets from 7-8:30 p.m. every Monday at Mountain View Assembly, 3900 E. Bonanza Road. This 13-week session helps kids ages 5-12 with the pain and confusion caused by the separation or divorce of their parents. $15 fee for materials. Call Leslie, 452-8400.

CHADD, (Children and Adults with Attention Deficit Disorder), meets from 6:30 to 8 p.m. monthly, different days and locations. The group provides educational programs to persons with attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, their families and medical and educational professionals. 580-1955.

RESOLVE, the infertility support group meets from 6 to 8 p.m. on the second Monday of every month at St. Rose Dominican Hospital-Siena Campus, 3001 St. Rose Parkway, in the Garden Room. For more information, call 682-4710.

Keep Moving is a wellness program for patients who have Multiple Sclerosis. It is offered each Monday and Wednesday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Healthsouth Henderson Rehabilitation Hospital, 10301 Jeffreys St. Classes include pool therapy, tai chi, home exercises, Pilates and others. Better Breathers Club, a onthly meeting for people with lung disease and their family and friends sponsored by the American Lung Association of Nevada, meets on the second Tuesday and Thursday of the month. Call 431-6333 for information.

Las Vegas Chapter of Tri-Ess - The Society for the Second Self, a support group for cross-dressers, has a monthly meetings for heterosexual cross-dressers, wives, girlfriends and significant others.
