Warriors seek team members for club
The Warriors Baseball Club is looking for experienced, league age 11U baseball players to be part of the organization.
The club travels to nearby states and participates in local tournaments.

Motorcycle ride to benefit foundation
Registration for the second annual Las Vegas Ride for Kids will be from 8 to 9:45 a.m. on Sunday at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
The event will benefit the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.
The ride begins at 10 a.m., rain or shine, and the route will go to the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area and end at Blue Diamond park.
Registration is $35 per bike.

Wendy's searches for exemplary athletes
The Wendy's High School Heisman award celebrates students who serve as role models in their communities, and encourages future leadership by recognizing well-balanced lifestyles at an early age.
To be eligible for the award, students must now be in their senior year of high school, maintain at least a B grade-point average, and participate in one of the 32 sports sanctioned by the National Federation of State High Schools.
Schools are asked to nominate two seniors by Oct. 2.

Junior Team Tennis League forms
The Nevada Tennis Association is forming a recreational tennis league for participants ages 18 and under.
The league will get under way beginning the first week in October.
Junior Team Tennis offers boys and girls the chance to experience the fun of tennis and the thrill of team competition.

Wrestling group seeks volunteers, coaches
The Southern Nevada Wrestling Association is seeking parent volunteers and coaches for its upcoming season.
Youth programs include wrestlers from kindergarten through eighth grade. The season runs from November through March.
