Professional leading ladies programs

LPGA teaching professional Kristin Sunderhaft is leading several ladies golf programs at Callaway Golf Center, 6730 Las Vegas Blvd. South. Each series includes four weekly one-hour sessions.

SOCCER

Local squad ranked third in the nation

Neusport Football Club 90, a local under-17 boys soccer team, recently was ranked No. 3 in the nation by GotSoccer.com, a youth soccer Web site that tracks over 23,000 teams nationally. Neusport's strong showing in tournaments like the Disney Soccer Showcase and the Las Vegas College Showcase lifted the team to its current ranking.

The team also is ranked No. 1 in Region IV, which includes states such as California, Washington, Oregon, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico and Utah.

SOFTBALL

Senior league seeking expansion

The Henderson Senior Softball League has grown from three teams five years ago to 16 teams today, and it is expecting to add four more teams this season. The league is seeking new players ages 40 to 50 or 50 and over for its summer session. Visit www. hendersonsoftball.com or call 683-7700.

TENNIS

NTA to offer classes for juniors and adults

The Nevada Tennis Association will start conducting classes for juniors and adults at various locations next week.

The classes are for entry-level to intermediate players ages 5 and up.

The fee is $50 per person.

TRACK & FIELD

Neon Invitational set for this weekend

Youth from across the nation are invited to the Las Vegas Neon Invitational outdoor track meet on Saturday and Sunday at a location to be determined. Boys and girls ages 5-18 may enter, but must be members of the United States of America Track & Field (USATF) or Wheelchair Sports USA.

Entry fees are $5 per event and $20 per relay. The event is co-hosted by USATF and the city of Las Vegas Department of Leisure Services. For more information, call 229-4796 or 229-1646.
