Best known for his portrayal of J. Peterman on "Seinfeld" and his celebrity stylings on "Dancing With the Stars," Las Vegas Strip theater star John O'Hurley transformed his lifelong love for man's best friend into the book "It's Okay to Miss the Bed on the First Jump: And Other Life Lessons I Learned from Dogs."

The Clark County Library Theater, 1401 E. Flamingo Road, will host An Evening with John O'Hurley at 7 p.m. on Thursday. A book signing and reception will follow the talk. Books will be available for purchase at the door.
