SPOTLIGHT ON: Creekside Restaurant

1501 VETERANS MEMORIAL DRIVE, BOULDER CITY. 294-6538

Boulder Creek Golf Club's clubhouse restaurant may be named Creekside, but the place to be is window-side.

The restaurant, owned by Daniel and Veronica Topchi with Master Chef Pablo Caballero, has 16 neatly appointed tables, but the five "four-toppers" along the floor-to-ceiling glass wall are Grade A prime for their stunning any-time-of-the-day view of Eldorado Valley and what Las Vegas Golfer Magazine called the "Best New Public Golf Course" when it opened in 2003.

The establishment serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and caters weddings and special events inside the restaurant's stacked-stone walls, as well as in the nearby 5,000-square-foot pavilion. Creekside Restaurant is the only place in town that serves a Monte Cristo in the morning and blackened Cajun salmon salad at noontime. Dinner entrées range in price from $14.95 for penne pasta with chicken or linguini with chicken, to $29.95 for filet mignon Oscar. Two of the 14 entrée selections that feature Australian lobster tail are market price.

Diners can soak up the chili-infused house dipping sauce with slices of complimentary bread or tantalize their taste buds with the soup of the day or a salad with honey mustard and pecan house dressing while they wait for their entrées to arrive.

Creekside Restaurant is open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday and Monday and from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
