The DJs for PJs annual charity event is scheduled to take place from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. today. The event is designed to collect new pairs of pajamas for needy children.

The annual PJ drive was started in 2003 by Darcy Neighbors, owner/operator of Consultants in Marketing Inc., after she volunteered a couple hours at Child Haven. That experience moved her so much that before leaving the property, she stopped at the main office and asked what the children needed most. The answer: pajamas. Many of the children arrive with only the clothes on their backs.
