Playing on the Railroad

Children can climb aboard a life-size toy train in the Let?s Play Railway exhibit at the Lied Discovery Children?s Museum, 833 Las Vegas Blvd. North. The interactive exhibit was developed by the Betty Brinn Children?s Museum in cooperation with the BRIO toy company. The replica of BRIO?s toy engine, cattle wagon and caboose includes a cowcatcher that works as a toy xylophone, wheels with interactive activities, and a wood cow and pony. The touring display?s stay is limited, so catch the train before it pulls out of town Aug. 19. The museum is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
