Memphis Championship Barbecue at 1401 S. Rainbow Blvd. will host a blood mobile from United Blood Services from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.

The restaurant is offering a complimentary lunch to all those who donate blood at the event. Immediately following participation, donors are invited to enjoy a private buffet including Memphis Championship Barbecue's pulled pork sandwiches, baked beans and more.

Donors must be at least 17, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health.

Johnny Cash tribute scheduled at Santa Fe

Shawn Barker will bring his "The Man in Black" show, a tribute to Johnny Cash, to Santa Fe Station today and Saturday at 7 and 9 p.m.

Barker originally began his career as an Elvis Presley impersonator in 1978, just one year after Presley's death.

He later found his true calling impersonating the late Johnny Cash and performed with South Carolina's "Legends in Concert."

Barker's high-energy show features songs spanning Cash's career, including duets Cash performed with his wife, the late June Carter.

Some of Cash's most famous hits include "I Walk the Line," "Folsom Prison Blues," "Ring of Fire" and "A Boy Named Sue."

Tickets to Barker's show are $10 at the door.

All ages are welcome for this show, but under 21 must be accompanied by an adult.

Super Summer to present 'Jesus Christ Superstar'

Super Summer Theatre will continue its 2007 season at Spring Mountain Ranch with "Jesus Christ Superstar" today and Saturday.

The rock opera by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber follows the political and interpersonal struggles of Judas Iscariot and Jesus, with the action largely following the canonical gospels' accounts of the last weeks of Jesus' life.

Jerry Van Dyke to perform at Suncoast

Jerry Van Dyke will present an evening of comedy with Murray Langston (The Unknown Comic) and Steve Landesberg today, Saturday and Sunday at 7:30 p.m. at the Suncoast.

An actor and comedian, Van Dyke has received four Emmy nominations. He may be best known for his role as Luther Van Dam on the long-running ABC comedy "Coach."

Van Dyke landed his first acting role on his brother Dick Van Dyke's groundbreaking TV comedy "The Dick Van Dyke Show." He portrayed a dual personality and was signed to a contract with CBS-TV.

Van Dyke also hosted the game show "Picture This."
