Daniel John Tilche, 19, was named to the academic dean's list for spring 2007 at the University of Charleston in West Virginia, with a 3.75 GPA.
Tilche received an athletic and academic scholarship to the university, where he plays shortstop for its Golden Eagles baseball team. He has received a varsity letter for the past two years. His major is education.
Tilche, a 2005 graduate of Mojave High School, is the son of Sandy Tilche of North Las Vegas.
