Job fair to be held at Green Valley Ranch

The Opportunity Boulevard Job Fair, a career fair that actively attracts out-of-market job seekers, will take place from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday at Green Valley Ranch Resort.

Marketed by Recruiting Nevada, the three job fairs in 2007 combined have attracted more than 8,500 job seekers.

More than 1,950 job seekers came from out-of-state to learn about employment opportunities in Nevada.

Grandparents Against Child Molesters is collecting brand new underwear for abused, neglected and homeless children at 9 a.m. Saturday at Old Navy, 2180 N. Rainbow Blvd.

Dance to benefit children's charity

St. Rose Dominican Hospitals is partnering with the Las Vegas Square and Round Dancers, in cooperation with the Las Vegas Department of Leisure Services, to host a Teddy Bear Square and Round Dance from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday at the East Las Vegas Community/ Senior Center, 250 N. Eastern Ave.

All proceeds will benefit the Children's Miracle Network.

Tickets are $3 each plus a new stuffed animal. Door prize tickets will be given to all participants.

Introductory dance lessons will be given from 3 to 3:30 p.m. with basic/mainstream plus levels and round dancing from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.

The Henderson Symphony Orchestra is seeking new members. Auditions will be held Aug. 25 in Room 160 of UNLV's Beam Hall. Musicians must prepare two contrasting selections for the auditions.

Las Vegas High class of '62 to reunite

Las Vegas High School's class of 1962 is having its 45th reunion beginning at 10 a.m. Oct. 13 at the old school on South Ninth Street and Bridger Avenue in Las Vegas. Dinner and dancing will be at 7 p.m. at The Orleans.
