Sha Na Na to perform at the SuncoastSha Na Na will play at the Suncoast today, Saturday and Sunday at 7:30 p.m.
The band performed on the "Grease" soundtrack and has been nominated for Grammy Awards. The band also hosted the "Sha Na Na" TV series for four years and performed more than 100 concerts a year. The group appeared at the Woodstock Festival, followed by the Woodstock album and movie.

Singer to bring talents to Starbright
Actor, Sony Music recording artist and singer/songwriter Doug Swander will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Starbright Theatre in Sun City Summerlin, 2215 Thomas Ryan Blvd.
Swander will perform popular standards, up-tempo swing and some of his original compositions. He has worked with country stars Paul Brandt and Danni Leigh, as well as Nancy Sinatra. His repertoire ranges from country and classic rock 'n' roll to nostalgic standards and musical theater.
Swander recently completed a starring role in the soon-to-be-released film "Razortooth" and has appeared on "Late Night with David Letterman," "Nashville" and "Music City USA." He also was one of the finalists on Ed McMahon's "Star Search."
Swander went on to guest star on the "Miss America Pageant" and continued for four years as the pageant's host and emcee.
Tickets for the show are $15 for Sun City residents and $17 for nonresidents.
Tickets can be purchased at the Desert Vista, Mountain Shadows and Pinnacle community centers.

Comedy club offers live laughs at Palace Station
The LA Comedy Club in The Showroom at Palace Station will host comedians KT Tatara and Peter Berman today, Saturday and Sunday at 7 and 9 p.m.
Tatara has appeared on Comedy Central's "Live at Gotham" and "Dirt" on FX. Berman has opened for Tim Allen, Paul Reiser and Jerry Seinfeld. While attending the University of Michigan, he was named "The Funniest College Student in America."
