EXPERIENCE SANTA'S WORKSHOP AT THE RITZ-CARLTON

Children of all ages can indulge in the holiday spirit with Santa's Workshop at 11: 30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday in the Firenze Lobby Lounge at the Ritz-Carlton, Lake Las Vegas, 1610 Lake Las Vegas Parkway.

Mele Kalikimaka: A Hawaiian Christmas is a tropical holiday celebration packed with everything from soaring vocals and melodic duets to inspirational dances and patriotic tributes. Featured vocalists will include Christy Copeland, Manea Manuma and Janoe Kalawa.

THE DA VINCI EXPERIENCE OPEN THROUGH MARCH

The Da Vinci Experience, an exhibit with more than 60 working replicas of Leonardo da Vinci's inventions, is on display at the Henderson Convention Center, 200 S. Water St., through March 2. The exhibit runs from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

Tickets are $17 for adults, $12 for students and military personnel, and $55 for a family of five. Children 6 and under get in for free. For information, call 267-2171.

SPRINGS PRESERVE HOSTS WINTER LIGHTS FESTIVAL

The Springs Preserve, 333 S. Valley View Blvd., will hold the first Winter Lights Festival through the end of the year. It will be open from 6 to 10 p.m. Fridays through Sundays.

The lights display is created with more than a half-million LED lights and will wind through the preserve's 8-acre garden.

Admission to the gardens is $4 for adults and $2 for children ages 5 to 17. Admission for gardens and galleries is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children ages 5 to 17 (ages 4 and under admitted free). For more information, call 822-7700.

'DEFENDING THE CAVEMAN' STAR GIVES SPECIAL PERFORMANCE

Kevin Burke, the star of "Defending the Caveman," will celebrate his thousandth performance with a special show at 9 p.m. Thursday inside the Showroom at the Golden Nugget.

CELEBRATE THE SEASON WITH HOLIDAY LIGHTS

Come experience Sunset Park's Gift of Lights display through Jan. 1.

With more than 200 animated and twinkling light displays in a convenient drive-through setting, the display creates a unique Yuletide experience.

Admission is $13 per car with $2 off with a bag of donated items for Goodwill. Partial proceeds fund the Clark County Scholarship Fund. Hours are from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 5 to 10 p.m. Friday through Saturday. The park is at 2681 E. Sunset Road.
