GIFT CARD DRIVE RAISES MORE THAN $3,000

The Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth hosted a gift card drive to collect as many $5 gift cards as possible.

Unlike holiday food donations, which can go to waste if more than the organization needs is given, the gift cards can be used to benefit homeless youths in need year-round.

UNLV mens basketball coach Lon Kruger collected the donated gift cards during the drive. He and his wife, Barb Kruger, who sits on the board for NPHY, donated the first $1,000 to support the drive. Regent Steve Sisolak also donated $1,000 toward the cause.
