Highway help
NDOT explains high occupancy vehicle lanes to public

The Nevada Department of Transportation hosted a public forum on Jan. 30 at Western High School to obtain input on high occupancy vehicle lanes, or HOVs.

John Terry, project manager, said NDOT expects the corridor of U.S. Highway 95 from the Rainbow Curve to the Spaghetti Bowl to open HOV lanes sometime in November.

SOS singer has the best of both worlds
Entertainer calls Las Vegas, Hawaii home

Tony Ruivivar may have spent the last five years establishing himself as the Don Ho of Las Vegas, playing at the Flamingo, Bally's, the Aladdin and the Golden Nugget. But don't expect him to wear Hawaiian shirts all the time.

The Summerlin resident heads the Society of Seven (SOS), along with co-star Bert Sagum. SOS is an entertainment troupe that's been wowing audiences for 38 years.
