BASEBALL

Legacy Little League holding signups

Boys and girls ages 5-15 are eligible to play in Legacy Little League 2007, which will hold signups from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 20 and 27; and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 3 and 10 at Pecos Legacy Park. Additional registration will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 24 at the Galleria at Sunset mall.

Paseo Verde league plans registration

Registration for the 2007 Paseo Verde Little League baseball season will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 20 at Albertsons, at Stephanie Street and Horizon Ridge Parkway.

All children ages 5-16 are welcome to sign up. Participants must bring a copy of the child's birth certificate, proof of address and the registration fee, cash or check only. Signups for spring league scheduled

Children can sign up for baseball in categories 9 and under, 10 and under, 11 and under and 13 and older from 6 to 7 p.m. on Jan. 31, and from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Feb. 3 at Whitney Ranch Recreation Center, 1575 Galleria Drive, Henderson.

WASUP recruiting for spring flag season

The Western Athletic Sports Unified Program (WASUP) will be registering players for its 2007 spring flag football season from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at the Galleria at Sunset mall.

The season starts March 3. Cost is $95 and includes uniforms for the 10-game season. Games and practices will be held at White Middle School.

Teaching pro to conduct clinics

LPGA Teaching Professional Kristin Sunderhaft will be conducting golf clinics from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sunday, Jan. 20, 21, 27 and 28, and Feb. 3 and 4; and from 10 to 11 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 22 and 29 and Feb. 5 at the Callaway Golf Center, 6730 Las Vegas Blvd. South.

Henderson United holding spring signups

Henderson United Youth Soccer will hold registration for the spring 2007 season at Dick's Sporting Goods in the Galleria at Sunset mall from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 20. Boys ages 4-12 and girls ages 4-13 are eligible to participate.

Fastpitch league signing up players

The SNFA Southeast girls fastpitch softball league is registering players for the 2007 spring season. Signups will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Jan. 19 and 24 at Round Table Pizza, 8878 Eastern Ave.; and from 9 to 11 a.m. Jan. 27 at Desert Bloom Park.

The league will have two divisions of play. Cost is $75 for 6 and under or 8 and under, and $95 for 10, 12 and 14 and under.

Junior Team Tennis is a recreational league conducted by the Nevada Tennis Association, offering boys and girls ages 8-18 the chance to enjoy team competition against players of similar age and ability. League teams are forming now.
