At its Jan. 2 meeting, the Clark County Planning Commission voted to:

Approve the USE PERMIT to modify setback requirements for a structure on a community lot in conjunction with a residential planned unit development on a portion of 40.3 acres in an RUD (Residential Urban Density) Zone P-C (Planned Community Overlay District) Zone in Mountains Edge Master Planned Community 300 feet west of Rainbow Boulevard, 600 feet south of Erie Avenue on the northeast corner of Mount Pendleton Street and Point Hope Avenue.

Approve the AMENDED HOLDOVER VACATE AND ABANDON proposal for a portion of right-of-way on Dorian Black Avenue located between Westwind Road and Duneville Street (alignment) in an R-D (Suburban Estates Residential) Zone; VACATE AND ABANDON a portion of right-of-way being Badura Avenue between Jones Boulevard and Lindell Road in an M-D Zone and the CMA Design Overlay District.

Approve a proposal to VACATE AND ABANDON a portion of right-of-way on Badura Avenue between Edmond Street and Decatur Boulevard in an M-D (Designed Manufacturing) (AE-65) Zone in the CMA Design Overlay District.

Approve the WAIVER OF DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS for sign area; DESIGN REVIEW for temporary on-premise construction signs in conjunction with a resort condominium project on 12.6 acres in an H-1 (Limited Resort and Apartment) Zone in the MUD-1 Overlay District on the west side of Las Vegas Boulevard South and the north side of Shelbourne Avenue.

At its Jan. 3 meeting, the Clark County Planning Commission voted to:

Approve the DESIGN REVIEW for an office complex and sign package on 17.2 acres in a C-2 (General Commercial) Zone in the MUD-3 and CMA Design Overlay Districts on the south side of Badura Avenue and the west side of Monte Cristo Way.

Approve the USE PERMITS FIRST EXTENSION OF TIME to commence the following: 1) live entertainment; 2) outdoor banquet facility uses; and 3) reduce lot area for a banquet facility; WAIVER OF DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS to modify design standards; DESIGN REVIEW for a future tavern with indoor/outdoor live entertainment and banquet facility uses in conjunction with a shopping center on 2.0 acres in a C-2 (General Commercial) Zone on the east side of Rainbow Boulevard (alignment), north of Mountains Edge Parkway (alignment).

Approve the USE PERMIT for revisions to a previously approved single family residential planned unit development on 24.3 acres in an RUD (Residential Urban Density) Zone on the west side of Buffalo Drive, 670 feet south of Peace Way.

Approve the ZONE CHANGE to reclassify 2.5 acres from an R-E (Rural Estates Residential) Zone to an R-2 (Medium Density Residential) Zone for future development 330 feet west of Lindell Road (alignment) and 330 feet north of Pyle Avenue (alignment).

Approve the ZONE CHANGE to reclassify 2.5 acres from R-E (Rural Estates Residential) Zone to an R-2 (Medium Density Residential) Zone for future development on the north side of Richmar Avenue (alignment), 660 feet east of Jones Boulevard.

Approve the ZONE CHANGE to reclassify 2.5 acres from an R-E (Rural Estates Residential) Zone to an R-2 (Medium Density Residential) Zone for future development on the east side of Jones Boulevard and the south side of Meranto Avenue.

Approve the ZONE CHANGE to reclassify 2.5 acres from an R-E (Rural Estates Residential) Zone to an R-2 (Medium Density Residential) Zone for future development on the south side of Silverado Ranch Boulevard and 330 feet west of Decatur Boulevard.

Approve the ZONE CHANGE to reclassify 2.5 acres from R-E (Rural Estates Residential) Zone to an R-2 (Medium Density Residential) Zone for future development on the north side of Silverado Ranch Boulevard (alignment), 300 feet east of Lindell Road (alignment).

Approve the ZONE CHANGE to reclassify 67.5 acres from R-E (Rural Estates Residential) Zone to an R-2 (Medium Density Residential) Zone for future development on the north side of Pyle Avenue and the east side of Jones Boulevard.

Approve the ZONE CHANGE to reclassify 25.0 acres from R-E (Rural Estates Residential) Zone to an R-2 (Medium Density Residential) Zone for future development on the north side of Cactus Avenue, 300 feet east of Jones Boulevard.

Approve the RECONSIDERATION OF A ZONE CHANGE to reclassify 12.6 acres from R-E (Rural Estates Residential) Zone to a C-P (Office & Professional) Zone; WAIVER OF DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS for increased wall height; DESIGN REVIEW for an office center on 12.6 acres in the CMA Overlay District on the northeast corner of Russell Road and Timber Creek Street.

Approve the HOLDOVER ZONE CHANGE to reclassify 17.5 acres from R-E (Rural Estates Residential) (AE-65) Zone to a C-P (Office & Professional) (AE-65) Zone and M-D (Designed Manufacturing) (AE-65) Zone; DESIGN REVIEW for an office and office/warehouse development on 19.6 acres in the CMA Design Overlay District 660 north of Sunset Road and the west side of Pioneer Way.

Approve the VACATE AND ABANDON portions of rights-of-way on Cimarron Road between Laredo Street and Eldora Avenue, and Eldora Avenue between Cimarron Road and Valdez Street in an R-E (Rural Estates Residential) Zone.

Approve the TENTATIVE MAP consisting of 22 single family residential lots plus common elements on 4.0 acres in an R-2 (Medium Density Residential) Zone on the southeast corner of Laredo Street and Cimarron.

Approve the proposal to APPEAL AMENDED WAIVERS OF DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS for the following: 1) reduce lot size; 2) reduce setbacks; and 3) allow overhead utility lines on 1.1 acres in an R-E (Rural Estates Residential) Zone on the east side of Torrey Pines Drive and the north side of Coley Avenue.
