After Faith Lutheran High School captured the Class 3A state baseball championship in the spring, it should come as no surprise that the Crusaders' summertime American Legion team is among the leaders in the local AAA Silver division. Faith's team had tallied a 12-1 record through July 11.

But consider that this team is playing without some of the key cogs on that state championship squad, including all-state choices like catcher James Anger, outfielder Adam Jones and utility player Dave Anderson. Only two graduated seniors from the regular season champions are playing legion ball.
