LITERARY LAS VEGAS
Las Vegas resident Kenneth Engel doesn't claim to be a psychologist. Drawing from his own experience, he wrote "Street Education 101: Guide To a Woman's Unprotected Life" in an effort to level the playing field between men and women. Engel shares his take on a wealth of topics including trust, finding a soul mate, love at first sight, and popularity, warning girls along the way that "most men view women as prey and believe that it's always open season." Engel plans to sign his book from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on June 16 at Plaza Books, 7380 S. Eastern Ave.
Excerpt from "Street Education 101"
A relationship shouldn't require work. It should be pleasant and satisfying. Granted relationships may have some ups and downs, little pitfalls to overcome, but that's where communication and compromise come in handy.
Think about what it takes to make a good relationship as a recipe with these essential ingredients: Fun, Trust, Communication, Love, Mutual Respect for each other's wants and needs and a hunger to be with each other when you aren't. Blend it thoroughly and what do you have -- a relationship that doesn't require work...
Whether the relationship you're in feels like work or pleasure could boil down to a very important eight-letter word: Attitude.
