LIFE'S LESSONS
Upcoming convention to focus on home schooling

Southwest Las Vegas resident Vickie Stilz believes she can provide a better education for her kids -- to a point. The mother of four home-schools all of her children until she reaches the level where she feels she can't accomplish anymore, or what is more commonly known as the 10th grade.

"I can't duplicate a chemistry lab in my home," she said.

VOLLEYBALL: Hitting the road
Local standouts to play at Junior National camps

In just a few weeks, a group of local volleyball standouts will be traveling around the country to take part in Junior National team camps.

They'll be off to different cities, come from different high schools and some will be heading to different colleges soon. But there's one thing all six athletes have in common: the Las Vegas Molten Volleyball club.
