Top college and senior high school basketball players will teach game fundamentals to boys and girls ages 9-14 at Hoops for Hope camp from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on July 20-21 at the Doolittle Community Center, 1950 J St.
The free camp includes a T-shirt, water bottle, sports bag, daily breakfast, snack and lunch. Parents of participants are invited to a free workshop on July 21 to prepare for college recruiters and opportunities.
The city of Las Vegas Department of Leisure Services, Golden Gaming and the Las Vegas Review-Journal are sponsoring the event.

NYFL to open registration for fall
The Nevada Youth Football League will begin registration for the fall season from 10 a.m. until noon on Saturdays and from 6 to 7 p.m. on Wednesdays at 7380 W. Sahara Ave., Suite 150.

The 2007 Cleveland Pro-Scratch will be held on July 22-23 at Angel Park Golf Club.
