Free movies will be shown today and Saturday under the stars on The Green at The District at Green Valley Ranch. Movies begin at dusk.

Guests are encouraged to bring picnic baskets and blankets. Glass, alcohol and smoking are not allowed.

Tonight's show is "Cats and Dogs." "Top Gun" will be shown on Saturday.

The District's Spring Concert Series at the Courtyard also continues this weekend.

Jump, Jive & Wail will play swing music tonight, and jazz musicians Rocky Gordon & KGB will perform Saturday.

DISCOUNTED TICKET FOR 'ICE'

Clark County residents can get half-price tickets to "ICE: Direct From Russia," an ice-skating show at the Versailles Theatre at the Riviera.

"ICE," adapted and directed by choreographer Debra Brown, features 42 of Russia's most disciplined and athletic ice performers guiding audiences on a magical journey. Their story is told through dazzling ice skating at top speeds combined with aerial acrobatics and acts of extreme dexterity and balance.

Discounted tickets are available for 8 p.m. performances only, Saturday through Saturday.

To receive the half-price offer, Clark County residents must purchase tickets in person and present a valid driver's license or state identification card at the Riviera box office.

Catch Three Dog Night, Soul Asylum

The Stars on the Lake concert series continues Saturday with a performance by Three Dog Night with Warren Brothers and fireworks at the floating stage in MonteLago Village at Lake Las Vegas Resort.

Floating VIP tickets are $90, reserved tickets are $70, and general admission tickets are $30. No chairs are allowed, but small blankets are OK.

Boulder Station will welcome Soul Asylum to the Railhead at 8 p.m. Saturday.

WARRANT AND GREAT WHITE

Eighties rock bands Warrant and Great White will perform this weekend at the Showroom at South Point.

Warrant will perform at 7:30 p.m. today. Great White will play at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

Concert series marks anniversary

Musicians who have performed in Clark County Parks and Recreation's World Vibration Concert Series during the past two years will return to the stage to celebrate the second anniversary of the series at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Winchester Cultural Center, 3130 S. McLeod Drive.

Tickets are $10 or $7 for students and seniors.

The series began two years ago at Winchester Cultural Center as a way to showcase the talent and culture of those who make their homes in the Las Vegas Valley.

The series features a different cultural tradition of music every month and inspired a spinoff with the center's World Steps dance series, which features diverse dance styles from all over the world.
