Green Valley, Silverado high schools hope to battle for state title

Green Valley High School's baseball team does not like to lose, especially to Silverado.
Many of the Gators still have not gotten over last year's 19-4 loss to the Skyhawks in the Sunrise Regional title game, and that disappointment is serving as motivation to a team that has been a Southern Nevada powerhouse for 15 years.

Gourmet goods
New store has exotic meats, caviar, truffles, pâté and more

When Anthem-area resident Mandy Prosky couldn't find the brand of pâté she was looking for in any of the local stores, she decided to open her own shop of specialty foods.
Prosky opened Chez Gourmet, 10890 S. Eastern Ave., three months ago. The store carries a variety of gourmet foods, ranging from exotic meats to chocolate truffles.
