Lacy Morton, daughter of Constance and Milton Morton of Henderson, has graduated from Colorado Christian University in Denver.
Morton graduated from Lake Mead Christian Academy in 2003, where she was active in student government and was a member of the Leadership Las Vegas Youth Class of 2002. Her younger brother Philip now attends the same high school.
Morton is studying screenwriting, public relations and marketing at the Los Angeles Film Studies Center.
John Tanalega, 17, has accepted an appointment to the United States Naval Academy, class of 2011.
Tanalega also received offers from the United States Military Academy, the United States Merchant Marine Academy and the Virginia Military Institute.
He is a senior at Advanced Technologies Academy and has been involved in many activities, including the National Honor Society, and he has served as student council treasurer and student body treasurer.
Tanalega is the son of Abelardo Tanalega, a retired Navy senior chief petty officer, and Joy Tanalega, a retired Navy chief petty officer.
He plans to study engineering and become a surface warfare officer.
