Kyle Capko, a senior at Advanced Technologies Academy, has been given an appointment to attend the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo., this fall. Capko chose the Air Force Academy over Georgia Tech University, Texas A&M University - College Station, and the University of Texas at Austin.
He has a weighted GPA of 4.245 and is ranked 54 out of 277 in his class.
He played volleyball for the last four years for both the Molten Warrior's Club team and Palo Verde High School, which won a state championship last year. His hobbies are frisbee football, reading and watching the History Channel.
He is the son of Vince and Pam Capko of Las Vegas.
Dora P. Quezada, daughter of Noe and Blanca Quezada of Las Vegas, has been named to the dean's list at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point for the fall semester. This is her seventh time on the dean's list. The 2003 graduate of Chaparral High School plans to graduate from West Point in May and be commissioned a 2nd lieutenant in the U.S. Army.
