MOM'S MASTERPIECE
The Artful Potter helps children prepare for Mother's Day

Six-year-old Moriah Salerno's goal is to fill her mother's house with artwork she has created.

Moriah added one more creation to that collection on April 27, as she carefully painted a mug in her first-grade class at the International Christian Academy in the Summerlin area.

Bonanza's Ryan Pineda provides quiet leadership

As the spring athletic season nears its end, the Bonanza High School Bengals are hoping one of their top players can lead them back to the baseball playoffs and beyond.

Senior infielder/pitcher Ryan Pineda is leading the way for Bonanza this year. On the mound, he is 4-1 with three saves as a closer and has a 2.77 ERA. Offensively, he has a .383 batting average, with 19 RBIs and 12 stolen bases.
