Twin Lakes Elementary's art fair spotlights students' talents

Although music, dancing, face-painting and other activities were part of Twin Lakes Elementary School's first art fair on April 30, the real star of the event was the artwork.

Every child at Twin Lakes, 3300 Riverside Drive, had one piece of stand-out artwork on display.

While it's not officially sanctioned as a high school team sport, lacrosse continues to be one of the fastest growing and most exciting youth sports in the Las Vegas Valley.

A little extra excitement emerged in the playoffs this season, as a couple of talented underdog squads went all the way.
