BOOTLEG CANYON: Not for the dogs
New plan may ban canines from trails

Boulder City resident Don Wolf isn't exactly happy when it comes to the Bootleg Canyon Recreation Area Master Plan that was accepted by the Parks and Recreation Commission at its Oct. 22 meeting and then forwarded to the City Council for further action.

Wolf's objections center around just one recommendation in the plan, the portion under the section "Provide appropriate recreation use in appropriate locations" that calls for the prohibition of dogs in the Bootleg Canyon Recreation Area."

The 2007 varsity Eagles football team has played well under the direction of senior quarterback River Frantz.

Frantz's 2006 season was cut short after four games when he injured his shoulder, and he is determined to make his senior year the best.
