CHEF TO SPONSOR MONTHLONG CHARITY EVENT

Chef Joseph Keller of Bouchon at The Venetian and Bistro Zinc at Lake Las Vegas, will hold a holiday tree auction and decorating fundraiser Friday through Dec. 20.

Proceeds will benefit Aid For AIDS of Nevada, an advocacy and support group; Share Our Strength, an organization to end hunger in America; the Make-A-Wish Foundation; and the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Breast Cancer Foundation.

The event will correlate with the Lake Las Vegas holiday festivities. Four Giving Trees will be erected in the herb garden of Bistro Zinc, each representing the four nonprofit charities. Donors can purchase ornaments at the bistro to adorn each tree.

Proceeds will benefit the organizations, and the trees will be delivered to auction winners on the last day of the event.

GALLERY TO FEATURE WORK OF RHETT E. MURRAY

The Gallery at Liberty Pointe at The Multigenerational Center, 250 S. Green Valley Parkway, is proud to present the work of artist Rhett E. Murray with an exhibit until Nov. 27.

Admission is free and open to the public. Gallery hours are 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday; and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday.

'SPIDER-MAN 3' AT THE DISTRICT AT GREEN VALLEY RANCH

The District at Green Valley Ranch, 2240 Village Walk Drive, will hold an outdoor viewing of "Spider-Man 3" at 7 p.m. Saturday. The District's Outdoor Picture Show series features family-oriented movies under the stars each weekend at dusk. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and picnic baskets.

THE DA VINCI EXPERIENCE NOW OPEN IN HENDERSON

The Da Vinci Experience, an exhibit with more than 60 working replicas of Leonardo da Vinci's inventions, is on display at the Henderson Convention Center, 200 S. Water St., through March 2. The exhibit runs from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

Tickets are $17 for adults, $12 for students and military, and $55 for a family of five. Children 6 and under get in for free.

THIRD THURSDAY ARTS WALK

Henderson's monthly Third Thursday Arts Walk will begin at 5 p.m. Thursday in the Water Street District, 14 S. Water St. The event will feature gallery exhibits, live music, book signings and refreshments.

SINGER DARRYL WORLEY TO PERFORM AT SOUTH POINT

The South Point is proud to present performances by country star Darryl Worley at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Tickets are on sale now and cost between $35 and $55.

FREMONT EAST TO HOST ROCK THE BLOCK MUSIC FESTIVAL

The Fremont East Entertainment District will feature local and national rock bands with the first Rock the Block Music Festival from noon to 10 p.m. Saturday.

Tickets are on sale at all Ticketmaster outlets and are $10 in advance or $15 at the door. The entertainment lineup includes Flyleaf, Searchlight, Smile Empty Soul, Franky Perez, Left Standing and Am Sessions on the Jagermeister stage.

Food and drink will be available for purchase on site, as well as additional activities taking place within Beauty Bar and The Griffin throughout the day.

Guests at Beauty Bar and The Griffin must be 21 years or older.
