STATION CASINOS PARTNERS WITH NOAH'S WISH TO HELP ANIMALS

Over a 15-hour period on Oct. 25 and 26, the Southern Nevada community rallied together with Station Casinos to raise thousands of needed pet supplies for the evacuated victims of the San Diego fires and their animals.

According to Staci Columbo, vice president of marketing for Station Casinos and organizer of the donation drive, a car a minute pulled up to the donation tent.

The drive netted more than 200 animal cages and kennels; more than 3,000 pounds of dog and cat food; 50 boxes filled with linens and towels; 40 dog beds; 20 boxes filled with food bowls; more than 20 boxes filled with dog leashes and cat/dog collars; and more than $3,000 in cash donations.

A 48-foot truck and driver donated by Pan Western Trucking helped ship the supplies to San Diego.

The pet supplies will be immediately transported by Station Casinos' team members to San Diego, where Noah's Wish will then distribute the needed supplies to evacuees and their animal companions.
