FREMONT EAST TO HOST ROCK THE BLOCK MUSIC FESTIVAL
The Fremont East Entertainment District will feature local and national rock bands with the first Rock the Block Music Festival from noon to 10 p.m. Saturday.
Tickets are on sale at all Ticketmaster outlets and are $10 in advance or $15 at the door. The entertainment lineup includes Flyleaf, Searchlight, Smile Empty Soul, Franky Perez, Left Standing and Am Sessions on the Jagermeister stage.
Food and drink will be available for purchase on site, as well as additional activities taking place within Beauty Bar and The Griffin throughout the day. Guests at Beauty Bar and The Griffin must be 21 years or older.
ROCK AND ROLL WINE BASH
Paris Las Vegas will light the 50-story replica of the Eiffel Tower at midnight Thursday to launch the weeklong celebration for Beaujolais Nouveau, in honor of 2007 wines. Honoring the long tradition regulated by French law, Beaujolais Nouveau is released no sooner than the third Thursday of November, when it is ready for consumption just six weeks after the harvest.
Rock 'n Roll Wine, known for its signature high-energy wine events, will host a Beaujolais Nouveau-themed wine tasting at 7 p.m. Friday inside Risqué, the nightclub at Paris Las Vegas. The event will feature live music by Acoustic Soul.

TERRIBLE'S TO HOST SLOT TOURNAMENTS UNTIL CHRISTMAS
Terrible's Hotel and Casino will feature a free slot machine tournament in which participants can win $30,000 or a new car. The tournament will run through Christmas.
The tournament will include mega cash giveaways and will award one winner a Dodge Nitro GTS, provided by United Dodge.
The tournament is free and open to Players Club Members.
WORLD VIBRATION CONCERT SERIES TO FEATURE BLUEGRASS
Winchester Cultural Center, 3130 S. McLeod Drive, will host the World Vibration concert series at 2 p.m. Sunday when bluegrass band The Yucca Mountain Boys take the stage. Admission is $10 for adults, $7 for children and seniors.

A benefit afternoon soiree will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at 1905 Chapman Drive to benefit the Friends of Classic Las Vegas, a nonprofit organization that creates awareness about historic Las Vegas and works to conserve and preserve historic sites.
The soiree will include refreshments, entertainment by musician Jay Orlando, a lecture by Nevada historian Dr. Mike Green and a tour of a mid-century home.
