CITY MANAGER SWORN IN BEFORE NOV. 6 MEETING

Mary Kay Peck, the new city manager, took the oath of office during a ceremony before the Nov. 6

Henderson City Council meeting. Mayor Jim Gibson, Ward 1 Councilwoman Geri Schroder, Ward 2 Councilman Andy Hafen, Ward 3 Councilman Jack Clark and Ward 4 Councilman Steven Kirk were all present.

CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED

The consent agenda of 92 items was approved, 5-0, with the exception of item CA-072, which Councilman Steven Kirk abstained from. Kirk said he had a relationship with the applicant, LVMB/Babcock & Brown Holdings LLC. The council approved the acceptance of a municipal utility easement located southeast of Wigwam Parkway and Stephanie Street.

STATUS REPORT ACCEPTED BY COUNCIL, 5-0

The council requested a code enforcement status report on the non-compliance issues for the property located at 109 Fir St., which was presented and accepted during the meeting.

A representative from the Department of Building and Fire Safety said the current property owner has sold the property.

THREE-DIMENSIONAL DRAWINGS NOW NEEDED

Unfinished business items UB-101 and UB-102, a zone change and an extension of time to rezone certain property by applicant Dublin Trails LLC, were approved, 5-0, by the council.

The hillside project located on Viento Puntero Drive approximately a half-mile south of Horizon Ridge Parkway brought up an issue of mandating computer-generated models.

Councilman Steven Kirk asked that all future hillside projects require the three-dimensional drawings, which Dublin Trails LLC representatives presented before the meeting. Kirk said two-dimensional drawings don't show a clear picture of what the final developments will look like.

THE VINEYARDS WITHDRAWS REQUEST FOR MORE TIME

Applicant D.R. Horton, The Vineyards, withdrew a request for a resolution for an extension of time to rezone property located north of Kelso Dunes Avenue, south of Warm Springs Road, between Marks Street and Gibson Road.

CLARK APPOINTMENT CONTINUED AGAIN

A request to appoint Councilman Jack Clark to the Henderson Convention Center and Visitors Bureau Board of Directors was continued from the Oct. 16 meeting and continued again at the Nov. 6 meeting.
