FOOTWEAR COMPANIES PARTNER TO BENEFIT SHADE TREE

Zappos.com and Yaleet Inc., distributors of Naot footwear, have teamed together in support of The Shade Tree, a local Las Vegas organization offering emergency shelter and services to area women and children in crisis.

On Nov. 9, the companies presented 150 pairs of new Naot women's and children's shoes and sandals to representatives of The Shade Tree.

Since moving to the greater Las Vegas area in 2003, Henderson-based Zappos.com has actively partnered with local organizations that make a difference in the community.

Naot footwear is manufactured in Israel. Since, 1991, Yaleet Inc. and Naot have been donating shoes to people in need, such as hurricane victims, the homeless and those in drug rehabilitation facilities. In addition, each year, Yaleet Inc. makes contributions to the fight against breast cancer.

THE PLAZA EXPECTED TO OPEN IN 2011

The Plaza begins its entry into the Las Vegas gaming and hospitality market following the implosion of The New Frontier on Nov. 13. New York-based ELAD Group and Israel-based IDB Group have partnered on this venture and jointly will be known as ELAD IDB Las Vegas, LLC.

The ELAD Group gained worldwide attention for its $675 million acquisition and renovation of The Plaza in New York City in 2004.

The multi-billion-dollar project will be the first of its kind in Las Vegas. For the company, it will be the first of many gaming ventures. Once completed, The Plaza is set to be the second largest private real estate development in the world.

"The investment in the new flagship project, The Plaza Hotel in Las Vegas, will be estimated at $8 billion and will set the bar for new standards in the field of hospitality and entertainment," said Nochi Dankner, owner and chairman of IDB Group.

The project's expected completion is set for 2011 and will create at least 15,000 jobs.

The Plaza Hotel in Las Vegas will be a multi-use property and will feature an ultra-luxury hotel, private residences, retail outlets, a state-of-the-art casino, destination restaurants, an entertainment venue and a convention complex.
