Charity tourney set for Oct. 17
The Par-Tee Girls Ladies Golf League of Desert Willow Golf Club at Sun City MacDonald Ranch will sponsor a tournament for the Rally For a Cure on Oct. 17. Check-in is at 7 a.m. and tee-off is at 8 a.m. The cost is $65.

The Nevada Tennis Association is holding tennis classes at Aloha Shores Park at Cheyenne Avenue and Buffalo Drive on Tuesdays. Classes for adults will be offered adult from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

YMCA hosts new fencing program
The Durango Hills YMCA, 3521 N. Durango Drive, is hosting a new fencing program on the first Monday of each month. Participants will learn from instructor Heik Hambarzumian. The cost is $60 and gear will be provided.

The Red Rock Fencing Center at 5275 S. Arville St., Suite 332, is offering an introduction to fencing academy for adults. The academy will run on the first three Mondays each month. All equipment will be provided.
