The Clark County School District presented the Crystal Apple award, which recognizes community members who have gone above and beyond to support education, to Randy Black, owner of Black Gaming; Nevada Assemblywoman Barbara Buckley, District 8; Henderson Mayor James Gibson; state Sen. Steven Horsford, District 4; Mary Jo Malloy, Nevadans for Quality Education; Punam Mathur, MGM Mirage senior vice president of diversity and corporate community affairs; Nevada Assemblywoman Bonnie Parnell, District 40; Lesley Pittman, vice president of government affairs on behalf of Station Casinos; Linda Rivera, special emphasis program manager for the U. S. Department of Interior's Bureau of Reclamation, Lower Colorado Region; and Nevada Assemblywoman Debbie Smith, District 30.
COLLEGE FAIR PLUS PLANNED FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
CCSD is hosting its 30th annual College Fair Plus for all Clark County high school students, their parents and guardians.
The event will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday at Cashman Center.
Admission is free and parking passes will be provided.
