The valley's creepy mansions offer ghoulish, scary time, plenty of monsters, goblins galore and varied storylines

Residents of North Las Vegas have places to scare themselves silly lurking right underneath their noses -- though they may choose to stray farther in search of Halloween kicks.
At The Asylum in North Las Vegas, actors in blood-stained hospital scrubs stalk the visitors waiting in line before the attraction's barred windows and stained facade. The facility is located in the parking lot of Home Depot's 1275 W. Craig Road site, at the intersection of Camino Al Norte.

Golf club earns nod from women's group

The Las Vegas Valley has long been known as a golfer's paradise, but now there is one course in the area that has earned one of the most unique designations available.
Badlands Golf Club, 9119 Alta Drive, recently became the only golf facility in Nevada to earn the "women-friendly" designation from the Executive Women's Golf Association.
