FOUNDATION TO PRESENT ART FOR EDUCATION
The Anthony L. Pollard Foundation will present its ninth annual Art for Education program from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the Stirling Club in the Turnberry Towers, 2827 Paradise Road.

CCSD APPROVES OVERSIGHT PANEL APPOINTMENTS
Clark County School District trustees have approved the appointment of Mark Pavis as chair and Don Snyder as vice chair of the Oversight Panel for School Facilities. Both appointments are for two-year terms expiring on Dec. 31, 2009.
APPLICATION TO SPONSOR NEW CHARTER SCHOOLS WITHDRAWN
CCSD trustees have authorized a request to the Nevada State Department of Education to withdraw the district's application to sponsor new charter schools for the 2007-08 school year. The school district will continue to service the charter schools that are currently sponsored.
