VETERANS DAY PARADE TO BE HELD IN DOWNTOWN LAS VEGAS

The annual Las Vegas Veteran's Day parade will be held at 10 a.m. Nov. 11 on 4th Street in Downtown Las Vegas.

WORLD STEPS SERIES RETURNS WITH BRAZILIAN RHYTHM DANCE

Clark County Parks and Recreation's World Steps dance series continues with the Brazilian Rhythm Dance Group at 2 p.m. Sunday at Winchester Cultural Center, 3130 S. McLeod Drive.

Admission is $10 for adults, $7 for children and seniors.

The rich culture of Rio shines through the music and dance of the Brazilian Dance Group, which will join forces with percussionist Kurt Rasmussen of Cirque du Soleil's "O" and the Mocidade Rebelde School of Samba, a Brazilian percussion band, for this performance.

MID-WEEK FILM FESTIVAL FEATURED AT WINCHESTER

Director Frank Capra is featured in this year's Fall Mid-Week Film Series, which showcases seven films in his "Capracorn" genre, a blend of social satire and sentiment, at 7 p.m. every Wednesday until Dec. 5 at the Winchester Cultural Center Theater, 3130 S. McLeod Drive.
