Ryan Krohn, 11, has been accepted into the People to People World Leadership Forum.
Ryan, a sixth-grader at Rogich Middle School, will join a select group of students in Washington, D.C., March 10-16 to earn high school credit while studying leadership and exploring U.S. monuments and institutions.
Ryan is the son of Greg and Shelley Krohn of Las Vegas.
Maia C. Kohl, 22, daughter of Molly Millman of Las Vegas and James Kohl of Craig, Alaska, has graduated from Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio, with a double major in neuroscience and psychology.
Kohl is a graduate of Rancho High School.
She was accepted to the Teach for America program, which enlists outstanding recent graduates to commit two years to teach in urban and rural public schools, and become leaders in the effort to expand educational opportunity.
As part of the program, Kohl has begun teaching science in Brooklyn, N.Y.
Leana Joy Jones, daughter of Robert and Janet Jones of Las Vegas, graduated Magna Cum Laude from Emerson College in Boston on May 14. She earned a bachelor of arts degree in film.
Jones is a 2003 graduate of The Meadows School.
She interned on a live music television show called "CD USA," and worked on a live broadcast from Fremont Street, counting down to New Year's for all four time zones.
Jones is currently a production assistant for WOW Productions in Los Angeles and resides in Sherman Oaks, Calif.
Heather Stonebarger, 17, was crowned Miss Nevada Job's Daughter on April 28.
Job's Daughters is an organization for girls ages 10-20 who have a desire to learn skills that will make them better people.
Stonebarger, a student at Foothill High School, is the daughter of Becky and Gilbert Stonebarger of Henderson.

Achievements may run the gamut from earning a college degree to successfully climbing Mount Everest.
