MEXICAN MUSIC ADDS SPICE TO WINCHESTER SERIES

Clark County Parks and Recreation's World Vibration concert series continues with the music from Northern Mexico at 2 p.m. Sunday, at Winchester Cultural Center, 3130 S. McLeod Drive. Local group Conjunto Llamarada presents the performance. Admission is $10 for adults, $7 for children and seniors.

Those interested in the World Vibration Concert Series can call 455-7340 or visit the Web site at www.accessclarkcounty.com/parks.

UNLV TO HONOR MEMBERS OF ART COMMUNITY

UNLV will induct comedian Rich Little, Nevada Ballet Theatre co-founder Nancy Houssels, architect Thomas Schoeman, and "CSI" creator Anthony Zuiker into the Nevada Entertainer/Artist Hall of Fame at UNLV during an awards ceremony at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in Artemus Ham Concert Hall.

The Nevada Entertainer/Artist Hall of Fame at UNLV was founded to honor residents of Southern Nevada who have made a significant impact on the arts.

Tickets to the award ceremony are $25 general admission, $10 for seniors and children, and free to all UNLV students (one ticket per valid student I.D.). Tickets are available at the UNLV Performing Arts Center Box Office or by calling 895-ARTS (2787).

WINCHESTER ART EXHIBIT CONTINUES THROUGH OCT. 19

"Lavender," an exhibit by Lindsay Berg, will continue through Oct. 19 at Winchester Cultural Center Gallery, 3130 South McLeod Drive.

Berg photographs abstract paper sculptures and graphite drawings, capturing subtle and appealing interplays of natural light through and around them.

Her experience as a production artist shows in her highly finished work, and her studies in fine art become obvious in her exploratory investigations of color and light.

For more information, call Patrick Gaffey at 455-8239.
