Commissioner receives honor from Public Education Foundation

By FRED COUZENS
VIEW STAFF WRITER

Instead, the 63-year-old father of seven adult children -- all K-12 graduates of the Clark County School District -- and 13 grandchildren, received one of the most prestigious educational awards handed out in Clark County, the Education Hero award for 2007 presented by the Public Education Foundation.

Antique Depot owner to petition new ordinance
Businesses using right of way may need a permit under city regulations

Jacobs, whose shop at 525 Avenue B is akin to a business duplex shared by Janean's Antiques, says she'll be ready in the coming weeks to circulate a petition expressing opposition to the new ordinance governing encroachment.
