MEET THE PRINCIPAL: Setting high goals
Administrator aims to keep students involved, informed in schooling

White Middle School Principal Danielle Miller wants students to come to her office. In fact, she requires that new sixth-graders come to her office on the first day of school in an effort to ease any uneasiness they might have toward the often-feared principal's lair.

"It should not be this scary place," she said.

'Arthur' author Marc Brown to visit Henderson

Students in the southeast region of Clark County School District will get a treat on Saturday when a popular book character comes to life.

Marc Brown, author and illustrator of the "Arthur" books, will be part of an event happening at 1 p.m. at the Henderson Pavilion at Liberty Pointe, 200 S. Green Valley Parkway.
