AMERICAN GIRLS:
Stories of the Past
The American Girls Club meets at 4 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday of the month at Gibson Library, 280 S. Water St. Club members read and discuss the American Girls book and doll series. The club is for girls ages 8 to 12. Clockwise from top left, this month's topic was the character Addy Walker, who escaped with her mother from slavery. After the book discussion, the girls, including Hope Romeo, 8, made wallpaper boxes. Young adult librarian Marcie Smedley conducts the discussion.
