Project: Volunteer is set for 1 to 4 p.m. on Thursday at the Veterans Memorial Leisure Services Center, 101 N. Pavilion Center Drive.

CSN TO HOST SEMINAR ON COMMUNICATIONS CAREERS

The College of Southern Nevada's Association of Students in Communication and the department of communication have scheduled the sixth annual Degrees of Communication Seminar from 8:45 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday at the West Charleston campus, 6375 W. Charleston Blvd., Building K, Room 101.

The event is free and open to those who have an interest in communications. Industry professionals will discuss career opportunities, such as broadcast production, broadcast writing, television, public relations, advertising and radio. For more information, call 651-3510.

CORTNEY MIDDLE SCHOOL TO HOLD EMPLOYEE REUNION

Cortney Middle School, 5301 E. Hacienda Ave., will hold an all-employee reunion at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Sunset Park, 2601 E. Sunset Road.

The event is open to all staff members who have worked at the school since its opening 10 years ago. The cost is $10 per person, and children younger than 10 are free.

LAMB OF GOD PLANS FUNDRAISER

Lamb of God Lutheran School will hold its annual Evening Under the Stars dinner, silent and live auction on April 26 at Silverstone Golf Club, 8600 Cupp Drive.

TOURS AT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL OFFERED

Lamb of God Lutheran Elementary School and Preschool are offering tours of the facilities in conjunction with enrollment for the 2008-09 school year.

Located adjacent to the Lamb of God Lutheran Church, 6232 N. Jones Blvd., the private Christian elementary school educates students in full-day kindergarten through fifth grade classes. Its preschool offers two- and three-day half-day programs, as well as full-day programs for children ages 3 to 5.

The College of Southern Nevada's Cheyenne Campus will host a career fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 30 in the student lounge, 3200 E. Cheyenne Ave.

SYSCO FOODS ENLISTS CLASS TO DESIGN LOGO

Sysco Foods of Las Vegas enlisted one of Kahre Elementary School's third-grade classes to design a logo for its safety committee.

For its participation, the class received prizes, along with a visit from Sysco employees.

Kahre Elementary School is located at 7887 W. Gowan Road.

NEVADA CONTRACTORS OFFER SCHOLARSHIP

The Nevada Contractors Association is accepting applications for its annual David Papadopulo Memorial Scholarship.

Students pursuing a construction-related career with a minimum 2.5 GPA are encouraged to apply. Scholarship winners receive a $3,750 annual stipend and must be either a junior or senior enrolled at UNLV.
