PURE ALOHA

* Celebrate the tastes and sounds of Hawaii, Asia and Jamaica at the Pure Aloha Festival, 6 p.m. Friday at a concert kick-off, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Cannery, 2121 E. 'MOMENTS OF PAWS'

* The Asylum Theatre will present "Moments of Paws," three short plays involving the commonalities between man and his best friend. The performances will take place Friday and Saturday at the Backstage Theatre inside the College of Southern Nevada, Cheyenne Campus, 3200 E. Cheyenne Ave. Friday's performance is at 7:30 p.m; Saturday's are at 2 and 7:30 p.m.$10.

NOCHE DE MARIACHI

* Enjoy Noche de Mariachi, 6 p.m. Wednesday at North Las Vegas Library, 2300 Civic Center Drive. The Clark County School District teamed with the North Las Vegas Library District to present an ensemble of the "best of the best" middle and high school students. Free.

SPRING BOOK FAIR

* Aliante Library will hold a Spring Book Fair featuring Imagine Nation Books from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday at the Aliante Library, 2400 W. Deer Springs Way. The North Las Vegas bookstore will offer up to 75 percent off on books and merchandise. 839-2980.
