STARBRIGHT THEATRE TO PRESENT THE SILVERTONES

The Starbright Theatre, 2215 Thomas Ryan Blvd., will present the Sun City Silvertones in a tribute to old Las Vegas at 7 p.m. April 26 and 2:30 p.m. April 27.

The show will feature medleys from Elvis Presley, Mel Torme, Wayne Newton and Tony Bennett. Tickets are $6. For ticket information, call 256-6220.

JAZZ IN THE PARK to kick off

The Jazz in the Park concert series will kick off with Spyro Gyra at 8 p.m. April 26 at the Clark County Amphitheater, 500 S. Grand Central Parkway. People are welcome to bring picnic baskets, blankets and low-back chairs. For more information, call 455-8200.

FREMONT STREET EXPERIENCE TO PAY TRIBUTE TO QUEEN

The Fremont Street Experience will premiere a new Viva Vision show, "A Tribute to Queen," at 8 p.m. Thursday.

In honor of Queen and the new show, the tribute band Queen Nation will perform at 8 p.m. Thursday through April 22 on the 3rd Street stage. Admission is free.

CLARK COUNTY CHILDREN'S CHOIR TO PERFORM

The Clark County Children's Choir will host a spring concert at 7 p.m. May 1 at the Spring Valley High School Theater, 3750 S. Buffalo Drive.

NEVADA JAZZ ORCHESTRA TO PERFORM CONCERT

The Nevada Jazz Orchestra will present a Latin Connections concert at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Winchester Cultural Center Theater, 3130 S. McLeod Drive. Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for students and seniors and $10 for Jazz Society members. For more information, call 455-7340.

EARTH DAY EVENTS PLANNED

Soka Gakkai International Las Vegas will host an Earth Charter Day Festival and Celebration at 10 a.m. Saturday at 1201 S. Jones Blvd.

The festivities will include the art exhibition Seeds of Change: The Earth Charter and Human Potential; the documentary "A Quiet Revolution;" a slide show based on former vice president Al Gore's "An Inconvenient Truth;" and booth displays.
