My Day Spa, 8522 Del Webb Blvd. in Sun City Summerlin, strives to offer what owner/operator Rosemary Youshock calls an escape.

Her clients "come in so stressed, but after they have their treatments, they leave so relaxed," she said. "People need to come in and just spend a day letting themselves be pampered."

The 1,900-square-foot facility uses aroma therapy, water features and music to set the tone. In the back, it has three esthetician rooms, two massage rooms, a relaxation room and a body treatment room.

Youshock is a massage therapist and esthetician. Her spa offers a variety of facial treatments. Massage styles include aroma therapy, hot stone and deep tissue. For moms to be, there are pregnancy massages.

Body treatments include one to address cellulite, Reiki for energy balancing and detoxing mud for the body.

It's no secret that the desert pulls moisture from the skin, so Christina Peroni, one of the four estheticians at My Day Spa, uses a variety of oils to replenish it.

"Our main objective is hydrating of the skin, that in itself helps us with our youthfulness," she said. "I think our clients will see a benefit with their first facial."

My Day Spa opened on Feb. 28, next to Tuesday Morning on the corner of Rampart and Del Webb boulevards and carries hard-to-find Yonka skin products and Dead Sea Pavilion body salts.

My Day Spa is open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. For more information, call 304-8105.
