RUGBY CLUB TO START HIGH SCHOOL COMPETITION

The Las Vegas Blackjacks Rugby Club is sponsoring an inaugural season of high school rugby throughout the valley for boys ages 14 to 18. The season will continue through June and the cost is $40 per player.

POP WARNER FOOTBALL SIGNS UP PLAYERS

Registration for Pop Warner Football is taking place at 3330 E. Sunrise Ave., Suite 103, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 17 and 31, June 14 and 28 and July 12 and 19. Registration is divided into five age groups and costs $180 for players and $90 for spirit leaders.

TBA REGISTERING FOR BASKETBALL LEAGUE

The Tarkanian Basketball Academy, 2730 S. Rancho Drive, is accepting registration for its summer basketball league, open to boys and girls in kindergarten through high school. Skill sessions are held Monday through Wednesday nights and games are played on weekends.

ICE CATS FORM SUMMER YOUTH HOCKEY PROGRAM

The Las Vegas Ice Cats are accepting applications from boys and girls ages 6 to 12 to participate in the 2008 Summer Youth Hockey Program at the Sobe Ice Arena at the Fiesta Rancho casino, starting May 5.
