Try liquid fertilizer on tomatoes

Question: We are new here to the Las Vegas Valley, and we are trying out some tomato plants. But my tomato plant's leaves are already turning yellow after only planting them in mid-March. In this climate, how often should I be giving my veggies plant food?

Try a light foliar application of liquid fertilizer and see if you get a response.

Spray this on the leaves early in the morning before it gets hot.

Bob Morris is an associate professor with the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension.
